Canon A-1 Review – Canon’s Finest SLR Film Camera
The Canon A-1’s ability to seamlessly switch between At, Tv and Manual modes single-fingered was an amazing feature. The ease of use of the A-1 is just brilliant, as canon puts it, “A simple click of a single switch will put you in any one of the AE modes.” Something that is extremely handy for me, who runs one roll of film through multiple cameras, is the film counter, which counts down while rewinding the film.
Minolta SRT 101 Review – The First SLR Camera To Grace My Hands
The SRT 101 was a success, and is almost equal in popularity now as it was when newly released. Much like the VW Beetle, it served people and professionals alike, getting the job done with plenty of character. A standard lens on offer with the camera was the Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 lens, which along with others, provided a brilliant arsenal of optics for the user.
Minolta X-1 Review – The Camera That Taught Me A Lesson
Once I discovered the Minolta X-1 Camera it fell into the category of my ‘dream cameras’. Frantic Googling and research followed and no sooner had I clicked the ‘buy now’ button, it arrived from Japan. Unfortunately, it arrived with a minor defect, that I only noticed due to the hours spent reading the instruction manual front to back; given it was my dream camera, I sent it back. I knew though that I would come to own one again one day.
